Cookies & Analytics Notice

This Notice explains how the WCOE DMV Platform may use cookies, browser storage, and similar technologies. It should be read together with the Privacy Policy.

1. Essential technology

The Platform may use cookies, local storage, session storage, tokens, or similar technologies that are reasonably necessary for authentication, security, session continuity, preferences, fraud/abuse prevention, and basic technical operation. Disabling essential technologies may prevent account login or other features from working correctly.

2. Analytics and operational measurement

On our public pages only — the home page, About, Membership, Events and published event pages, Member Spotlights and published spotlight pages, Sponsors & Partners, and Contact — WCOE DMV may use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand which information is useful. Neither service loads unless you have affirmatively agreed. If you decline, or make no choice, the site remains entirely untagged.

Measurement never runs on the Member Portal, your account or profile, the member directory, company pages, administrative pages, or on sign-in, invitation, confirmation, recovery, and legal-acceptance pages. Signed-in members are not measured on any page.

Google Analytics 4 is configured without advertising features, Google Signals, personalization signals, or user identifiers, and only the page path is sent — query strings are removed. Microsoft Clarity is configured with strict masking, so names, email addresses, company information, and anything typed into a form are not captured. Search Console and the Chrome UX Report may be used for search and page-performance information; neither places a cookie on this site.

Your choice is stored only in your own browser. You can review or withdraw it at any time using the “Cookie preferences” control in the site footer.

3. Third-party services

Authentication, hosting, databases, email, security, embedded links, and other Platform functions may be provided through third-party services. Those services may set or receive technical identifiers as part of providing their function and are also governed by their own privacy and security terms.

4. Your choices

Nonessential measurement is off until you allow it, and the “Cookie preferences” control in the footer lets you review or withdraw that choice at any time. Most browsers also allow users to view, block, or delete cookies and local storage. Blocking essential technologies may interfere with Platform functionality. Any further nonessential technology will be described here before it is activated.
