Erica Jablonsky: Building the Network Behind WCOE DMV

Long before WCOE DMV took shape, Erica Jablonsky was already building community within the Baltimore construction industry.

For more than a decade, Erica worked at the center of Greater Baltimore's commercial construction network, serving as Membership Director for ABC Greater Baltimore. In that role, she managed a community of roughly 650 corporate members, helped grow the organization's membership year after year, and developed relationships across contracting, subcontracting, professional services, workforce development, and the broader A/E/C industry.

But one of the most lasting parts of that chapter of her career came from recognizing a need that went beyond traditional business development.

Erica founded LOGIC—Ladies Operating for Growth in Construction—as a community designed to help women in the industry develop professionally, build their personal brands, form meaningful relationships, and support other women entering construction and construction management. The idea reflected something that has remained consistent throughout her career: when the right people are brought together intentionally, opportunities follow.

That philosophy eventually became a business of its own.

In 2024, Erica founded Parkway Solutions, a Baltimore-based, woman-owned fractional business development company focused on the architecture, engineering, and construction industries. Parkway helps businesses expand their networks, develop strategic partnerships, strengthen their presence in the market, and convert relationships into sustainable growth. The company places particular emphasis on helping minority-, women-, and veteran-owned businesses navigate and grow within competitive markets.

Erica's professional involvement continues well beyond her own company. She serves in leadership with CREW Baltimore, where she has helped oversee programming for the regional commercial real estate community, and she remains deeply connected to construction organizations, contractors, service providers, and business leaders throughout the DMV.

That experience made co-founding WCOE DMV a natural extension of work she had already been doing for years.

As WCOE DMV Co-Founder and Advisory Board Member, Erica brings more than an existing network. She brings an understanding of how communities are built—how introductions become relationships, relationships become opportunities, and opportunities create stronger businesses.

WCOE DMV gives that work a new regional platform.

Together with Founder Karen Barbour and the growing WCOE DMV leadership community, Erica is helping create an organization where women who own, lead, and shape construction throughout Washington, Maryland, and Virginia can find one another, learn from one another, advocate together, and build business together.

Her own career demonstrates the value of that model.

Erica has built her professional reputation around being a connector, but the connections are never the end goal. They are the starting point. Behind every introduction is the possibility of a partnership, a contract, a mentor, a new client, a new employee, or simply another woman realizing that there is a place for her in the industry.

For a new WCOE community taking root in one of the country's most interconnected construction markets, that ability to bring people together may be one of its most important foundations.
